As long as you don’t go during Thanksgiving week, it is a great time to go. Generally, the period before and after Thanksgiving are some of the lowest attendance times of the year. Usually, hurricane season is about finished then.

November 31 ends Hurricane season, and it is rare that the waters are still cool enough for conditions to be present. November 17 through Christmas is a great time to go. It is exceptionally beautiful with the Christmas Decor. We say Mickey Mouse on November 18 and told him happy birthday. He made a big deal of us knowing.

I have been in Disneyworld in November for the past 3 years – and it has been fantastic! We are going during Thanksgiving week this year – already have our reservations at the Beach Club. The lines aren’t too bad at all, the weather is perfect perfect perfect! It’s my favorite time to go!

November is awesome! Just avoid Thanksgiving week. You could also go tothe Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom. The weather is glorious and the crowds are light. Perfect time to go!
Have fun!

I went in Oct. and it was a blast, although hurrican season, the weather was fine and we did Mickey’s Halloween Party. If you go in Nov. they have Mickey’s Christmasparty. 2008 dates are available on you can check averages for rainfall at weather.com . Nov is the end of hurricane season. have fun!

Great idea. In my opinion, the best time to go. It is also the cheapest time to go, so consider splurging on a hotel. Hurricane season is generally over in September, so don’t worry about that. The weather is usually in about the 70′s. For her birthday, think about taking her to the Flying Fish, it’s great seafood, though kind of expensive. Don’t go over Thanksgiving week, however, it can get pretty busy. Have a great trip, and have lots of fun!

Pretty much all the answers so far are right–great time to go if you avoid Thanksgiving week. If you can, also avoid the first week of Novemeber, as NJ schools are off and families from there flock to Disney World.
I just (last Thursday!!) released a website for first time family visitors. My highest rated weeks in November are (in order) the weeks beginning 11/29, 11/8, and 11/15. (From my “Weeks to Visit Ranked in Order” page:)
My site also has some very precise weather charts on things like the actual chance of a cyclonic storm affecting a trip by arrival date, and the chances a day’s high will be over 75. Those pages all start here in my “Weather and When to Go” section:
Hope this helps!! Dave
